Nearly 20 years ago, our founder found himself responsible for the final-mile experience for some of the most respected premium furniture brands in the industry. Over time, he became increasingly frustrated by something that just didn’t make sense.
These brands worked incredibly hard to create an exceptional customer experience. Beautiful products. Thoughtful design. Sophisticated environments. A carefully crafted brand promise. Customers were excited. They had made a significant purchase and were looking forward to seeing that product come to life in their home.
Then came the final mile.
Too often, the experience suddenly became commoditized—transactional, cheap, unsophisticated and disconnected from everything that came before it. It was like listening to a beautiful piece of music on a record, only to have the needle scratch across it and the music come to an abrupt halt.
He spent years searching for partners who could deliver something different—partners who understood that the final mile wasn’t simply about moving a product from point A to point B. It was an important part of the brand experience and, often, the most personal moment of the entire customer journey.
He would often joke, “Who is the Four Seasons of delivery? I want them.”
The truth was, they didn’t exist.
So he decided he would build it.
In 2008, he bought the domain name “Pinnacle Fulfillment” and held onto the idea. Sixteen years later, in 2024, he finally turned that idea into reality and launched Pinnacle Fulfillment.
